Jake Dastrup, AMFT
Therapist
Jake Dastrup is a compassionate therapist who brings warmth, curiosity, and deep empathy to his work. He specializes in treating OCD and anxiety, trauma/PTSD, unwanted pornography use, and is currently expanding his expertise in working with ADHD. Jake has experience supporting individuals of all ages and tailors his approach to each person’s unique needs and goals.
His integrative, strengths-based approach blends mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Inner Child and Parts work, and nervous system regulation techniques. Jake believes healing happens when clients feel safe, respected, and empowered to move at their own pace. He is also completing his 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) and enjoys incorporating yoga and breathwork into therapy when it supports his clients’ healing journeys.
Outside the therapy room, Jake is a lifelong musician who loves to sing and play the guitar, piano, and drums. A former elite and collegiate gymnast, he now finds grounding and balance through yoga, meditation, and time spent outdoors. Whether through movement, music, or mindfulness, Jake is passionate about helping others reconnect with themselves and find peace along the way.
